Mets360:
- Brian Joura - Gut Reaction: Astros 5, Mets 3 (6/22/22) "For the second straight game, the Mets fell behind early. For the second straight time they loaded the bases with a chance to get right back in there. And once again they failed to cash in, with Eduardo Escobar in the middle of fruitless ABs both times. The end result Wednesday was a 5-3 loss to the Astros."
Metstradamus: The Path To Glory Is Paved In High Fastballs And Lower Back Tightness. "Carrasco gave up bullet after bullet in the first inning after leading off his day with a walk to Jose Altuve. Michael Brantley hit the top of the wall to bring home Altuve, and then bombs to Alex Bregman and Yordan Alvarez made it 4-0 before Cookie even got an out."

In an interleague contest against the Mets at Shea Stadium, Mariners' right-hander Felix Hernandez becomes the first pitcher in the 31-year history of the franchise to hit a home run.
