Later in the frame, Brandon McIlwain added a two-out, two-run single to extend
the Ponies lead to 7-4 and complete the four-run inning.
With
Binghamton up 7-5 in the ninth, Dylan Hall pitched a 1-2-3 inning for his first
save of the year. Hall has not allowed an earned run in nine appearances with
Binghamton.
The
Rumble Ponies got on the board two batters into the game. After Rudick hit a
leadoff double, Rowdey Jordan hit a two-run homer over the right-field wall to
put the Ponies up 2-0.
New
Hampshire (17-16) would respond with three in the bottom of the first, highlighted
by Orelvis Martinez two-run homer to left. Martinez would add a second home
run, a solo shot in the third. Ponies starter Dom Hamel settled down and
allowed four runs over five innings with no walks and five strikeouts in the
no-decision.
Rudick
hit a solo homer to right in the fifth to cut the Fisher Cats lead to 4-3.
Rudick finished 3-5 with three runs scored and three RBI.
