Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (23-29) battle the Greenville Drive (29-24) — the High-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox — on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island. 

RHP Jeffrey Colón (1-2, 6.37) is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn against Greenville’s RHP Hunter Dobbins (3-1, 3.21).

LAST TIME OUT: The Cyclones collected their 5th walk-off win of the season on Wednesday afternoon vs. Greenville...DH Kevin Parada powered a go-ahead solo home run in the 7th and provided the walk-off RBI single in the 9th, as part of a 3-hit game...Greenville tied it in the 8th on a sacrifice fly...Trailing 5-2, C Drake Osborn pounded a game-tying 3-run shot in the 6th and scored the winning run, starting the rally with a single...SS William Lugo tallied 2 hits and an RBI, while CF Alex Ramírez singled, walked twice, and stole a pair of bags...LF Nick Decker posted 2 hits — both doubles — and an RBI for the Drive...LHP Eli Ankeney retired all 6 batters he faced, earning his first Cyclones victory. 

 

RAMÍ ROCKETS: CF Alex Ramírez homered for the second-straight game on Tuesday night vs. Greenville...The 20-year-old pounded a game-tying 3-run home run to left in the 7th inning...Ramírez also tallied a solo blast in the 6th inning of Sunday’s 9-3 win at Jersey Shore...It marked the 2nd time this season a Cyclone player has homered in consecutive games...RF Stanley Consuegra first accomplished the feat on April 14 and 15 at Winston-Salem...Ramírez is now tied for the team lead in home runs (5) with Consuegra and INF Mateo Gil...Alex enters Thursday on a 4-game hitting streak...He is 6-for-his-last-13 (.462) with 6 runs scored, a double, 2 home runs, 6 RBI, 3 walks, and 2 steals in that time...Since joining Brooklyn on July 4 of last year, the Mets’ No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline leads the South Atlantic League in RBI (63), hits (109), doubles (26), extra-base hits (37), total bases (167)...Ramírez is 3rd in franchise history in RBI (63) trailing only teammate IF/OF Jaylen Palmer (65), and INF José Peroza (69). 

 

WALK (OFF) ON THE WILD SIDE: DH Kevin Parada delivered Brooklyn’s 5th walk-off victory of 2023 with a bases-loaded RBI single in the bottom of the 9th on Wednesday afternoon vs. Greenville...C José Mena’s added game-winning single in the bottom of the 9th on May 26...1B Chase Estep delivered a game-ending, bases-loaded walk in the 11th on Opening Day vs. Jersey Shore...LF Alex Ramírez registered a walk-off RBI single in the 11th vs. Wilmington on April 22 and LF Omar De Los Santos provided a game-winning single in the 10th vs. Aberdeen...The Cyclones have at least 1 walk-off win in each home series this year...Brooklyn garnered 4 walk-off wins through the entirety of the 2022 campaign... 21.2% (11-of-52) of Brooklyn’s games this season have ended in walk-off fashion. 

 

JEFE JEFFREY: RHP Jeffrey Colón tossed another gem last Thursday night, earning his first win in 2023...The 23-year-old also matched a career-best with 9 strikeouts on May 26 vs. Winston-Salem...That equaled his total from last August 28 at Jersey Shore...In his last 3 appearances (2 starts), Colón is 1-0 with a 2.03 ERA (3 ER in 13.1 IP), allowing 10 hits and 5 walks, striking out 17...In his last 2 starts at Maimonides Park, Colón has hurled 13.1 innings, allowing just 3 runs on 9 hits...The Las Matas de Farfán, D.R. native has a 2.03 ERA and permitted only 3 walks and punched out 16 in that span.
