JAWILME'S BIG BITE: RHP Jawilme RamÃrez was outstanding in his High-A and Cyclones debut on Thursday night...The 21-year-old became the first Brooklyn pitcher in 2023 to work into the 9th inning, ultimately tossing a career-high 8.0 innings of 3-run ball...RamÃrez allowed 6 hits, did not walk a batter, and struck out 4...The Dominican native was the first Brooklyn pitcher to complete 8-full innings and work into the 9th since RHP Conner Grey carried a no-hit bid into the 9th inning vs. Jersey Shore on July 16, 2021...Grey ultimately tossed 8.1 innings that day...No Cyclone pitcher has tossed a 9-inning complete game since RHP John Gant posted a 1-hit shutout on August 28, 2013, at Maimonides Park vs. Tri-City.
