Mets Roster Moves: Ryley Gilliam Released, Cole Gordon activated off IL

 

The New York Mets have announced the following roster moves:

RHP Ryley Gilliam Released;

RHP Cole Gordon activated off 60 Day IL.

DSL Mets Orange released LHP Rogert Cortez.

Both Gilliam and Gordon have been plagued by injuries these past two years. 

Drafted in 2018, Ryley Gilliam shot through the Mets system to Syracuse in 2019.  At that point, Ryley looked like he would be a mainstay in the Mets bullpen for years to come. Injuries got the best if him these past few years. Good luck to him in the future. 

Cole Gordon seemed to find himself in AA in 2021. He was called up to Syracuse in early 2022 - made one start and did not pitch again. Hopefully he makes it back this year.
