Mike Puma of the NY Post reports on X that the New York Mets have non-tendered Daniel Vogelbach.
Acquired in July 2022 in a trade for RHP Colin Holderman, Daniel was strictly a Left Handed Hitting DH and Pinch Hitter who did not have a position on the field. In fact, during his time on the Mets, he never played the field in the regular season.
In 159 Games with the Mets he hit 19 HRS, 73 RBIs, .241/.359/.415 - .774 OPS.
Daniel lost a lot of fan favor as the Mets struggled in the first half of 2023 hitting .225/.335/.355 - .690 OPS with 5 HRs and 26 RBIs in 63 games. He rebounded a little in the 2nd half with 8HRs, 22 RBIs, .245/.344/.481 - .825 OPS in 41 games.
