Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (7-8) return home to open a two-week homestand, starting with six games against the Wilmington Blue Rocks (11-4) — the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals — on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.

RHP Nolan McLean (0-1, 9.00) — the New York Mets’ No. 15 prospect per Baseball America — is scheduled to take the ball for Brooklyn in the lid-lifter. Wilmington is projected to counter with RHP Andry Lara (1-2, 2.13).

LAST TIME OUT: The Cyclones finished the series in Jersey Shore with a win on Sunday, 5-2, to earn a series split against the BlueClaws...LF Ryan Clifford saw his seven-game hitting streak come to an end but walked a career-high four times while scoring three of Brooklyn's five runs...Clifford was not the only batter with a keen eye, as Jersey Shore pitching issued 11 walks in the contest, the most since April 7, 2023...RHP Brandon Sproat pieced together a third straight strong outing to begin his season, hurling three innings of one-run ball, while punching two and walking one...In three outings this season, Sproat has not allowed more than one run in any of them...The former Florida Gator has given up just seven hits across 9.2 innings of work.

CANARSIE'S OWN: IF/OF Jaylen Palmer returns to his native Brooklyn to start a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday, recovering ...The 23-year-old grew up in the Canarsie neighborhood, roughly 10 miles northeast of Maimonides Park...Palmer also attended Holy Cross High School in Flushing, Queens, approximately five miles east of Citi Field...The right-handed swinger has appeared in at least one game with Brooklyn each season since 2021 and enters the day as the franchise's all-time leader in games played (200), runs scored (100), walks (107), stolen bases (48), and hit-by-pitches (17).
