The Brooklyn Cyclones (16-13) will try and start a new winning streak against the Rome Emperors (15-12) — the High-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves — on Thursday at 7 p.m. from AdventHealth Stadium in Rome, Ga.
RHP Brandon Sproat (2-0, 0.92) — the New York Mets’ No. 10 prospect entering 2024 per Baseball America — is expected to take the ball for the Cyclones. The Emperors are projected to counter with the Braves’ No. 5 farmhand per Baseball America, RHP Spencer Schwellenbach (2-1, 2.96).
