The Brooklyn Cyclones (0-0, 33-33) continue their six-game series and open the season’s second half against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws (0-0, 38-28) — the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies — at 7 p.m. on Friday from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.
RHP Kade Morris (1-1, 5.32) — the New York Mets’ No. 21 prospect per Baseball America — is expected to take the hill for the Cyclones. The BlueClaws are projected to counter with RHP Eiberson Castellano (3-2, 4.35).

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn surged back into the win column with a 2-1 victory over Jersey Shore on Thursday...The BlueClaws entered the contest needing a win and Greensboro loss to become the North Division's first-half champions, but neither occurred as the Grasshoppers defeated Hudson Valley, 4-2...RHP Jonah Tong was outstanding one day removed from his 21st birthday...The Markham, Ont. native spun 5.0 scoreless innings, and allowed just one hit while striking out seven...Both of Brooklyn's runs came in the second inning, thanks to a pair of RBI doubles from 2B Junior Tilien and C Christian Pregent...Jersey Shore got one back in the sixth when 2B William Bergolla laced a liner to left, but the Brooklyn bullpen remained stout the rest of the way to close the first half with a win...RHP Josh Hejka registered the final three outs for his fourth save...The Cyclones finished the first half at an even .500...The 33-33 record is Brooklyn's best in a first half since moving to the full-season level in 2021.
