PRESS RELEASE: DAVID WRIGHT TO VISIT LOCAL FIREHOUSE ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9


Former New York Mets Captain David Wright will visit Engine 39/Ladder 16 in Manhattan on Monday, September 9 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. to visit with firefighters. Joining Wright in the visit will be the Amazin' Mets Foundation's vet dog in training Buddy. 


Wright will continue the Mets annual trip to firehouses in NYC to spend time with firefighters and first responders, which began in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. 


The Mets will continue to honor local first responders by hosting the annual NYPD vs. FDNY Battle of the Badges charity baseball game at Citi Field presented by Your Local Ford Stores on Thursday, September 12. Wright will be the host of the game, which starts at 7:10 p.m.
