NY Daily News: Mets’ Billy Wagner hopes for Hall of Fame call in final year of eligibility; Carlos Beltrán also in the mix. "Last year, five votes were all that separated Billy Wagner from baseball immortality. The former Mets closer barely missed the cutoff for the National Baseball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024, appearing on 73.8% of the ballots. Induction requires 75%...He and another former Mets star, ex-teammate Carlos Beltrán, are among the more uncertain cases on this year’s ballot."

NY Post: Pete Alonso has traits Mets don’t ‘value’: Royals’ Vinnie Pasquantino. “It’s just tough, Pete has been the face of the Mets for the past six years and that should mean something, in my opinion,” Pasquantino said. “I’m not in the room, but it does not seem that [the Mets’ front office] values things that he brings to the table, other than the numbers.”
