Brian Joura Mets360 Gut Reaction: Rockies 5, Mets 2 (5/6/23) "Stop me if you’ve heard this one before – a Mets starting pitcher failed to go five innings and the offense continued to be inept. That combination led to a 5-2 loss to the Rockies Saturday afternoon at Citi Field."

SNY.TV: Mets takeaways from Saturday's 5-2 loss to Rockies, including more ineffective offense "Tylor Megill was the losing pitcher but reliever Stephen Nogosek gave up perhaps the key hit in the game, a two-run home run to Rockies’ rookie shortstop Ezequiel Tovar in the sixth inning that gave Colorado its 5-2 lead."

NY Post: Mets drop back to .500 as struggles continue [After Colorado scored in the 1st]..."The Mets tied the game in the bottom of the inning thanks to a soft infield hit by Brandon Nimmo, a double by Lindor that sent Nimmo to third and a run-scoring groundout by Alonso...Lindor’s double was the Mets’ only extra-base hit of the day."

NY Post: Mets' offensive struggles continue in loss to Rockies "The Mets have scored three runs in two games against the team with the second-worst ERA in the National League. They have managed only four runs in their last four games (two against the Tigers, two against the Rockies). They have lost six of eight and have a .216 batting average in the last week."
