RHP Alec Kisena (2-5 4.62 ERA) v. LHP Nick Bush (5-5 3.57 ERA)
Pitching Highlights: Ponies starter Alec Kisena has been solid and steady over his last two starts pitching 11 total innings. In those starts, he has given up just three runs while also striking out 11 batters and walking one.
Up, Up and Away: Francisco Alvarez’s memorable month of June came to a close with a 1-3 performance in last night’s game. For the month, Alvarez hit 10 home runs to complement 24 RBI and a .286 batting average. He also had a 12-game hitting streak that extended into the middle of the month. Sneaky Sneaky: Carlos Cortes went 3-3 with a walk in last night’s game and is currently hitting .263 on the season with five homers and 23 RBI. He also had the go-ahead homer in the eighth inning against Reading on Sunday.
