NY Post: Mets signing outfielder Tommy Pham to $6M contract after fantasy football slap controversy. "Pham is coming off a subpar year split between the Reds and Red Sox and finished with a .686 OPS, his worst in a full season. He was better with the Padres in 2021. He made headlines last season when he walked up to Joc Pederson of the San Francisco Giants before a game and slapped the outfielder for what Pham called a feud over a fantasy football league the two were a part of."

Andy Martino SNY.TV: Signing Pham does not mean an immediate end to Darin Ruf’s tenure with the team. The Mets do not have a trade lined up that would send Ruf elsewhere, and have until the end of spring training to decide whether to keep him...One decision they have already made: Power-hitting catching prospect Francisco Alvarez is not in the full-time DH mix. The way the organization sees it, Alvarez needs to continue to develop as a catcher, which he will probably do in Triple-A at the beginning of the year.
Danny Abriano SNY.TV: After adding Tommy Pham, Mets must still find 'needed' offense somewhere — sooner or later. "Mets are still in serious need of a finishing piece for their offense."
Per the Mets Press Release: "Howard Johnson, LHP Al Leiter and broadcasters Gary Cohen and Howie Rose will be inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame on Saturday, June 3 in a pre-game ceremony prior to the 4:10 p.m. game vs. the Blue Jays at Citi Field...Jay Horwitz will also be honored with the Mets Hall of Fame Achievement Award for his contributions to the organization."
SNY.TV: Mets signing C Tomas Nido to two-year, $3.7 million contract: report. "Contract will cover Nido's remaining arbitration years...Per FanSided’s Robert Murray, the deal is worth $3.7 million and will pay Nido $1.6 million this season and $2.1 million in 2024."
