SNY.TV: Mets Injury Tracker: Jose Quintana out until at least July following rib surgery, benign lesion discovery. "The lesion was tested and came back as benign which meant Quintana could either opt for the conservative care route or the surgical route with a higher probability that the bone heals. Quintana chose surgery which means he will be out for, at least, the next three and a half months."

Mets.com: Quintana (lesion on rib) not expected back until at least July. “'It’s a fairly involved surgery,' Eppler said. 'Whenever you’re doing a bone graft, it’s going to hurt. That’s why it’s hard to set a specific timetable...'"

NY Post: Mets need Brett Baty to fill in where Steve Cohen’s millions can’t. "...entering Tuesday’s 5-0 loss to the Nationals, Baty was leading the majors with an on-base percentage of .516 and was fourth in batting average (.423) and OPS (1.039). Just the other day, Showalter said that the 12th overall pick in the 2019 draft was “wearing it out down here” on both sides of the ball..."

Danny Abriano SNY.TV: Mets should consider signing Matt Harvey to minor league deal. "Harvey, pitching for Team Italy in the World Baseball Classic, has reinvented himself...Is the 2023 version of Harvey a better depth starter than Jose Butto or Joey Lucchesi? Could he be a bullpen option if starting doesn't work? The Mets should find out."
