 The Brooklyn Cyclones (17-21) look for their seventh win in eight games, battling the Winston-Salem Dash (23-16) — the High-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox — on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. from Maimonides Park.

RHP Joander Suárez (1-2, 7.36) is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn against Winston-Salem’s RHP Kohl Simas (3-1, 5.11).

TUNE-UP TIME: C Omar Narváez joins the Cyclones on a Major League rehab assignment on Thursday...The 31-year-old landed on the Mets’ 10-day injured list on April 7 (retro 4/6) with a left calf strain...Narváez was transferred to the 60-day IL on May 4...In 5 games with New York, the Maraçay, Venezuela native was 4-for-14 with the bat (.286), adding a pair of RBI...Narváez has appeared in 605 Major League games, slashing .258/.343/.385 and a .728 OPS with the Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, and Chicago White Sox...He was named a National League All-Star with Milwaukee in 2021...Narváez played against Brooklyn with the Hudson Valley Renegades in 2013, when both were members of the New York-Penn League...He was 1-for-8 with 3 strikeouts in 2 games on Coney Island. 

 

BINGO BOUND: OF Joe Suozzi and INF Warren Saunders were transferred to Double-A Binghamton on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively...Suozzi finished his tenure on Coney Island with a season-best 10-game on-base streak...the Glen Cove, N.Y. native is 12-for-his-last-31 (.387) with 5 runs scored, 3 doubles, 5 RBI, 4 walks, and a stolen base...Suozzi has registered a .943 OPS and 158 wRC+ in those 10 contests... Suozzi led the squad with a .283 batting average (28-99) with 11 RBI in 29 games...Saunders appeared in 10 games for Brooklyn in 2023...He was 5-for-36 at the plate (.139) with 2 RBI. 

 

IN THE ‘PALM’ OF HIS HAND: IF/OF Jaylen Palmer has scattered himself across the Cyclones’ all-time leaderboards...Entering Thursday, the 22-year-old is Brooklyn’s franchise record holder in games played (174), at-bats (574), plate appearances (685), runs scored (92), walks (92), and stolen bases (43)...Palmer passed INF Ronny Mauricio (‘21) for 2nd place in Cyclones history in RBI (64) on Tuesday and is 5 behind INF José Peroza (69) for the all-time mark...The Canarsie native is 2nd all-time in total bases (188), tied for 5th in home runs (15), and 6th in hits (110).
