BINGHAMTON, NY – New York Mets right-handed pitcher Carlos Carrasco will be making a rehab start with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies on Tuesday against the Hartford Yard Goats at Mirabito Stadium. First pitch is at 6:05 PM.
The 2019 American League Comeback Player of the Year and Roberto Clemente Award winner is in his 14th major league season. Carrasco, 36, spent 11 seasons with the Cleveland Guardians (2009-2020) before coming to the Mets via trade with Francisco Lindor in 2021. He is 104-87 with a 3.92 ERA in his MLB career.
Carrasco was honored following the 2019 season after being diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia in June of that year. After missing two and half months, Carrasco returned to the mound on September 1st. The Roberto Clemente Award is awarded annually to the player who best represents the game of Baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field.
