Press Release: Rain cancels Syracuse and Columbus on Friday, Saturday's game to be played at 6:35 p.m

Syracuse, NY - Friday night's game between the Syracuse Mets and the Columbus Clippers has been cancelled because of rain. Syracuse and Columbus will continue their series with single games on Saturday and Sunday. First pitch on Saturday night is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.

Fans with tickets for Friday's postponed game may redeem those tickets for any other Syracuse Mets home game at NBT Bank Stadium for one calendar year from Friday's date. Seating is subject to availability, and tickets can be redeemed at the Syracuse Mets Ticket Office or by calling 315-474-7833.

On Saturday, the Syracuse Mets are becoming the Syracuse Shot Clocks to pay homage to the 24-second shot clock created in Syracuse by Danny Biasone in 1954. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a replica Syracuse Shot Clocks jersey giveaway, presented by Visit Syracuse. Fans can guarantee a jersey giveaway by purchasing an Amazin’ Giveaway Pack at https://www.milb.com/syracuse/tickets/amazin-giveaway-pack. The pack includes the jersey and a ticket to the game.

Before the game, enjoy a tailgate BBQ with former New York Met Mookie Wilson and his #1 Legacy Catering. The BBQ goes from 4-6 p.m. outside NBT Bank Stadium and has a paid cash bar. Tickets to the BBQ are limited and can be purchased by using the coupon code “BBQ” at https://mlb.tickets.com/?agency=MILB_MPV&orgid=53674&pid=9212589.
