The Brooklyn Cyclones (35-26, 63-63) continue their chase of a second-half North Division title against Wilmington Blue Rocks (24-37, 53-72) — the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals — on Wednesday starting at 7:00 p.m. from Maimonides Park in Brooklyn, N.Y.

LHP Felipe De La Cruz (1-1, 3.00 ERA) is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn. Wilmington’s projected to counter with LHP Dannel Díaz (3-4, 4.37 ERA).

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn captured Tuesday's series opener vs. Wilmington, 4-2...LF Ryan Clifford powered a solo home run in the bottom of the 3rd to start the scoring...Cyclones added 3 more in the 4th on a throwing error and a sacrifice fly by Clifford...Wilmington tallied their only 2 runs in the 5th on an RBI double from 3B Yohandy Morales and a single from C Matt Suggs...Morales went 3-for-3 with a walk, while Suggs collected a pair of knocks...RHP Dylan Hall (3.2 IP) and RHP Jeffrey Colón combined to toss 4.2 innings of 1-hit shutout relief to close out Brooklyn's win...Hall took the victory and Colón was credited with the save.

ON THE FINAL FEW CORKSCREWS: Brooklyn is looking to secure a second-straight playoff appearance...The Cyclones are 35-26 in the second half and tied with Jersey Shore (34-27) atop the North Division of the SAL with 5 games left to play...The BlueClaws hold the tiebreaker over Brooklyn because of winning the season series (15-11).
