Mike Puma NY Post: Rotation once again biggest priority for Mets at Winter Meetings.
Ex-Mets Manager Davey Johnson misses out on Hall of Fame Vote.
The Hall of Fame voting total:
— Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) December 4, 2023
Jim Leyland (15 votes, 93.8%); Lou Piniella (11 votes, 68.8%); Bill White (10 votes, 62.5%); Cito Gaston, Davey Johnson, Ed Montague, Hank Peters and Joe West each received less than five votes.
MLB Trade Rumors: Mets Interested in Jung Hoo Lee. "once he [is posted], the Mets and other teams will have 30 days to reach a contract with the 25 year old outfielder, Lee was the KBO’s MVP in 2022, and is a five-time winner of their Gold Glove Award for his outfield work (primarily as a center fielder). His 2023 season was prematurely ended in July due to ankle surgery...a .340/.407/.491 slash line over 3947 career plate appearances for the Heroes.
Will Sammon The Athletic: Mets enter Winter Meetings with focus mainly on pitching and defense. "To that end, they are interested in adding an outfielder who can help them defensively, league sources said. With speed, some power and a Gold Glove Award in center field, someone like free agent Michael A. Taylor fits the profile...Taylor, who tallied 21 home runs and 13 stolen bases with a .720 OPS for the Minnesota Twins last year, has received serious interest from several clubs, league sources said." Joe DeMayo SNY.TV: With Mets having a lot riding on the 2024 MLB Draft Lottery, here's everything you need to know. "The Mets' pick will drop 10 slots unless it lands in the top six."

Looking back on our trip to the Dominican Republic in November, where we teamed up with @PIFBS for our Futuras Estrellas program to donate new equipment to 50 youth baseball and softball teams!

The Braves-Mariners deal was quite simply a money dump for Seattle. Atlanta takes on the salaries of White and Gonzales and gets Kelenic, whose upside remains tantalizing. Phillips was a second-round pick in 2022 and Kowar a first-rounder in 2018. @RyanDivish was on full deal.
