The Brooklyn Cyclones (31-30) go for back-to-back victories against the Hudson Valley Renegades (32-28) — the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees — on Saturday at 5:05 p.m. from Heritage Financial Park in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.

RHP Kade Morris (1-1, 4.19) — the New York Mets’ No. 21 prospect per Baseball America — is expected to take the hill for the Cyclones. The Renegades are projected to counter with LHP Ben Shields (2-2, 3.11).

LAST TIME OUT: The Cyclones snapped their season-high-tying five-game losing streak on Friday against the Renegades, winning, 4-3, in eight innings...The game was delayed by two hours due to rain and shortened to a seven-inning contest with a 9 p.m. start time...Hudson Valley carried a 3-0 lead into the sixth inning before a LF Chris Suero sacrifice fly in the sixth and a two-run double from 3B Mateo Gil in the seventh tied it...The Cyclones took the lead for good in extras, scoring in the eighth on a 1B Nick Lorusso fielder's choice...RHP Jake Stevenson stranded the bases loaded in the eighth, striking out CF Cole Gabrielson for the final out of his first save since 2022...RHP Victor Castañeda struck out a season-high five over 2.0 scoreless innings of relief, earning his fourth win...The 2-hour and 37-minute contest was Brooklyn's longest seven-inning game of the year.
