The Brooklyn Cyclones (4-9, 37-42) battle the Hudson Valley Renegades (7-5, 40-37) — the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees — at 7:05 p.m. on Friday from Heritage Financial Park in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.

RHP Douglas Orellana (0-1, 1.67) is scheduled to take the hill for the Cyclones. The Renegades are projected to counter with RHP Cam Schlittler (3-2, 2.44).

THIS DATE IN CYCLONES HISTORY: On July 5, 2014, the Cyclones garnered national attention with their "Salute to Seinfeld Night" celebrating 25 years since the show originally aired...8,241 fans from 26 different states and five different countries traveled to Coney Island to watch Brooklyn battle Aberdeen...In 2015, C Brandon Brosher went 2-for-3 with a franchise-record seven runs batted in, including a first-inning grand slam, in a 9-2 win vs. Williamsport...In 2019, the Cyclones dropped a 5-2 affair to Aberdeen on Coney Island in five innings...The game was called due to fog...In an attempt to continue playing, Brooklyn bench coach Endy Chávez hits fly balls to OF Jake Mangum in center field through the fog, despite the cries of Aberdeen manager Kevin Bradshaw to end the game due to safety concerns.
