Yesterday X/Twitter was full of Rumors after Alex Bregman tweeted that 2025 would be "Amazing". While the rumor that the Mets were one of the teams Bregman was talking to, no deal has been reported.
Also, there were tweets that the Mets were talking to Jose Iglesias and "close" to a deal with Pete Alonso. One report even saying that the Mets had offered him 3 years, $90 million. However, Jon Heyman put those rumors to rest this this article in the NY Post -
