Mets: Won four games in a series against the Braves for the first time since they swept Atlanta from 9/10 - 9/13/15 at Turner Field.

Reached the 70-win mark in their 109th game of the season...Only the 1986 Mets reached the 70-win plateau faster...Became the fourth team to reach the 70-win mark this season.

Became the seventh Met in franchise history to score a run in 10 consecutive games...It is tied for the most by a Mets shortstop with Melvin Mora who did so in 10 games from 6/22/2000 - 7/1/2000...Is the longest such streak by a shortstop in the majors since Wander Franco scored in 10 straight games from 8/15/21 - 8/27/21.

Pete Alonso (1-3, 2B, 2 RBI, R, BB): Put the Mets on the board with a two-run double in the third.

Has 12 RBI against the Braves this season, the most by an opposing player this season.

Jacob deGrom (5.2 IP, H, 2 ER, BB, 12 K): Made his 200th career start and his first start at Citi Field since 7/7/21.

Has 1,519 career strikeouts, the most by a pitcher through their first 200 career games in MLB history...Yu Darvish held the previous record for most strikeouts through 200 games with 1,517.
Picked up his 54th career game with 10 or more strikeouts, the third-most in the majors since 2014...Has 19 games with 12 or more strikeouts, the fourth-most in the majors since 2014.
His 12 strikeouts were the most by a Mets pitcher this season...Was the most by a Mets pitcher since deGrom struck out 14 on 7/1/21 at ATL.
Struck out all nine batters in the Braves starting lineup.
Was perfect through 5.2 innings before issuing a walk to Ehire Adrianza...Was the longest perfect bid of his career.

Joely Rodríguez (2.1 IP, H, 4 K): Struck out a career-high four batters over a season-high 2.1 innings.

Edwin Díaz (1.0 IP, 3 K): Was his 14th game with at least three strikeouts, the most by a relief pitcher this season.

1970	Five years after the Mets bestow the honor to their first skipper, the Yankees retire Casey Stengel's uniform #37 during Old Timers Day at the Stadium. The 'Old Perfessor,' who won seven World Series during his twelve-year tenure with the team, managed the Bronx Bombers from 1949 to 1960.
2014	Bartolo Colon joins Juan Marichal and Pedro Martinez in becoming the third hurler from the Dominican Republic to win 200 major league games. The 40-year-old portly right-hander accomplishes the feat when he goes eight innings, giving up six hits and one run, in the Mets' 5-4 victory over Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park, 5-4.
