The Mets announced their 2023 coaching staff yesterday via Twitter and their insider blog

MLB.com: Spring Training workout dates announced. Mets pitchers and catchers will report on February 15th, position players on February 20th but WBC participants will report on February 13th for pitchers and catchers and February 16th for position players.

Jon Heyman NY Post: Where Steve Cohen could turn after Mets’ Carlos Correa disappointment.  Jon looks at Manny Machado who will likely opt out of his contract after next year as well as next year free agents Shohei Ohtani and Julio Urias.

Danny Abriano SNY.TV: Who should Mets target for more offense: Trey Mancini, Adam Duvall, or Andrew McCutchen?  Danny looks at all three players and notes this about Adam Duvall: "...had a down 2022, hitting just .213/.276/.401 with 12 home runs in 86 games...But Duvall slugged .513 with 38 home runs and 113 RBI in 2021 and slashed .236/.291/.512 between 2019 and 2021...can play all three outfield spots and first base...a very intriguing option."

Jon Heyman NY Post: Yankees, Mets won’t pursue Trevor Bauer — who might need a ‘team on another planet’.

Jim Callis took questions from Fans yesterday on MLB.com and said this about Brett Baty: "Baty won't win any Gold Gloves at third base, but he's can play there for a while. Among Mets prospects who could wind up at the hot corner, he's a lesser defender than Ronny Mauricio but better than Mark Vientos. New York should give him its third-base job at some point in 2023 because he'd offer more offense and at least as much defense as 34-year-old incumbent Eduardo Escobar."

The MLB Network named Brandon Nimmo as the #4 CF in Baseball Right Now.  Starling Marte was named #7 RF.
